Dreadful AI Pic!
25 Sept 2025
Work hasn’t stopped over summer as I continue to rebuild and re-orient. It’s been a varied and energising summer, brushing off older skills, learning new ones, and staying close to the developments in AI.
As I navigate this evolving landscape I’m refining where my value lies — the spaces where clients and teams seek my support, advice, or access to experience. Right now, that tends to fall into:
Commercial advisory for small businesses
Marketing and communications strategies
Integration of PR, comms and marketing functions
Knowledge-sharing with those looking to strengthen their business positioning
Launch and story-led communications - planning and content development
Strategic, targeted media pitching for high-level clients
Recent assignments have included:
Working for a high-profile client supporting multi-brand integration, internal comms, and ESG strategy. This lead to me re-engaging with many long-time travel media contacts
International media pitching of thought leadership for a specialist hospitality consultancy
Advisory support to a successful comms agency owner, strengthening internal policies and external positioning
Strategic media pitching and comms advisory for an amazing woman running 100 marathons in 100 days along a historic Old Customs Line which partitions India and Pakistan. The run is to raise awareness and funds for environmental and social justice
Training an impressive cohort of international sustainability start-ups in the opportunities and pitfalls of PR and comms
Supporting a family-run Mediterranean tapas and wine bar with awareness, bookings, and a new website
Shaping launch content and strategy for an inspiring leadership retreat
Advising a start-up publishing company on how to support authors with PR and comms
Alongside client work, I've continued to invest in learning (through Plymouth University’s Earth Hub and the Future Climate Leaders programme) and I’m growing a monthly local network for the ‘good business’ community here in Cornwall.
My plates are spinning well. Some of this work is pro bono but I remain open to paid projects with businesses, people, or organisations who could benefit from my experience, insight, and skills.
If that’s you, or someone you know, I’d love to chat or meet online!
